Whenever an Extension spring is pulled from its hooks or ends, it exerts a reverse force and tries to keep the spring in original position. As the name suggests, whenever a spring is extended, it exerts reverse force and pulls the ends to its original position.
Extension springs has different end configurations, It can be hooks at end of legs or could be loops along the spring body depending upon the application.
Extension spring requires minimum force before change of displacement of spring and the same is known as initial tension.
